Rhiannon Scott is the Executive Director of Coastal Watch Association (CWA), where she leads science-driven, community-centered efforts to protect public health and the environment across the Texas Coastal Bend. She holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration and brings more than 12 years of nonprofit leadership experience focused on community health, environmental protection, and organizational development.

Rhiannon specializes in environmental advocacy, industrial permitting and regulatory processes, and community-based environmental protection. Her expertise includes coalition building, community science initiatives, environmental data advocacy, fundraising, and grant development to advance public health and environmental justice.

Under her leadership, Coastal Watch Association has expanded community engagement, environmental monitoring, and advocacy efforts addressing major industrial development throughout South Texas. Her work includes protecting sensitive coastal resources, advancing the San Patricio County Health Study, evaluating carbon dioxide pipeline safety, and leading community engagement on industrial permit reviews and contested case hearings.

Rhiannon has been recognized with the United Way Campaign Leadership Award (2024) and has supported numerous community initiatives, including the MDA Fill the Boot Campaign, United Way of the Coastal Bend, Salvation Army Angel Tree, and the Miracle League of Corpus Christi. Her work has been featured by organizations and media outlets including Texas Campaign for the Environment – Frontline, Coastal Bend Current, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times, KIII, and KRIS.

She is passionate about empowering communities with the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to participate in environmental decision-making and advocate for healthier, more resilient communities.
