Delaynie Peters is the Environmental Data Analyst for Coastal Watch Association (CWA), where she transforms complex environmental data into meaningful insights that support community health, environmental protection, and informed decision-making. She holds a Master of Science in Coastal and Marine Systems Science and a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Science from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, bringing a strong interdisciplinary background in atmospheric processes, environmental monitoring, and data analysis.
At Coastal Watch Association, Delaynie leads the analysis and visualization of environmental datasets, helping communities better understand the impacts of industrial development on air quality, water quality, and public health. Her expertise includes atmospheric science, air quality monitoring, geospatial analysis, environmental modeling, data management, and scientific communication. She combines advanced analytical techniques with clear, accessible reporting to ensure that scientific information is useful to residents, community leaders, and decision-makers alike.
Delaynie collaborates closely with academic researchers, government agencies, nonprofit partners, and frontline communities to support environmental health studies, community science initiatives, and industrial permit reviews. Her work includes analyzing air monitoring data, identifying environmental trends, developing maps and data visualizations, and supporting research that informs environmental policy and public participation.
Her research has been presented at national and international scientific conferences, reflecting her commitment to advancing environmental science while making technical information accessible to the communities most affected by environmental challenges. She is passionate about using science and data to bridge the gap between research and action, empowering communities with the information they need to advocate for healthier environments and more resilient futures.
